Kidnapped girl found after 18 years

I've used google trends to read latest news and found this sadly news.. Not the first time it happened ...

A US woman who was kidnapped 18 years ago as a young girl, has been kept in a hidden backyard behind her captor's home and has had two children with him, police say.

California law enforcement officials announced in a press conference on Thursday that Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was kidnapped at the age of 11 in 1991, was forced to bear two children at the hands of her abductor Phillip Garrido -- a registered sex offender on lifetime federal parole. The 'prison' she was kept in was placed against a six-foot fence and concealed by trees and shrubs that made it invisible from the adjoining properties, police said.

"Subsequent interviews provided information that only the victim and the kidnappers could know," said Fred Kohler from the El Dorado Sheriff's Department.

Philip Garrido, 58, was with his wife Nancy, when he kidnapped Dugard while the girl was waiting for a school bus, the police official said.

"Dugard never attempted to contact the police or her own family throughout her nearly two-decade ordeal," CBS News quoted Kohler as saying.

A netscape founder, Marc Andreessen is making a new browser named RockMelt that is being created by a pair of former business partner.The Times reported that language that was included in the privacy policy indicated that it is designed to work somehow with Facebook.n an interview with the Times earlier this summer, Andreessen hinted that he was backing creation of a new browser but didn't provide details, only saying, "There are all kinds of things that you would do differently if you are building a browser from scratch."


David Coursey from PCWOrld think that ROckMelt browser will become facebook OS. He thinks that RockMelt could become a browser that supports new social networking applications within the browser rather than online. It could, for example, include features like StumbleUpon's URL sharing and FriendFeed's aggregation within the browser. Or maybe it will offer an API that allows social networks to access RockMelt-only functionality.

A very shock news.. A Texas judge ruled Tuesday that Microsoft cannot sell one of its flagship products, Word, in the United States because of patent infringement.
Judge Leonard Davis, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, ordered a permanent injunction that "prohibits Microsoft from selling or importing to the United States any Microsoft Word products that have the capability of opening .XML, .DOCX or DOCM files (XML files) containing custom XML," according to an announcement by the plaintiff, Toronto-based i4i Inc.

XML essentially is a programming language that allows users to customize the underlying format of their word-processing documents, for example, and makes them readable across different word-processing programs. The ability to read and write XML documents is an integral feature of Microsoft Word.

Twitter down ?

I can'ta access with twitter acount.. Firstly, I think maybe my broadband has problem but after searching via net then I find news that twitter really extended downtime: a 30 minute outage that’s one of the longest in recent months.

ntivirus company Sophos explains what a DDOS is: "A denial of service attack occurs when computers bombard a website with requests for information".

"Typically hackers can control thousands of innocent users' computers centrally and command them to visit a site that they wish to flood with traffic - making it impossible for other internet users to get through. It's a bit like 15 fat men trying to get through a revolving door at the same time - nothing can move".

Maybe there's too many services provide on twitter coz this DOS attack... Hope it will repair soon.

Trend Micro s**k

I'm very frustrated today.. Most of PC on my office have a problem detect pen drive..It make me sick.. I've using Avira to clean it but after entered PC that using Trend Micro it keep on prompt after I put pen drive.
I don't know why Trend Micro just prompt but not delete or clean it...
But I can't do anything, our unit just buy it.. Hope they changed to others Antivirus. .
They must buy Norton for protection.. Trend Micro is not worthy now..
