As I've mention before, I just have a smartphone that using android. To use the smartphone optimum, we need to get software. For android user, the best place to get the application is Android Market. It is an online software store developed by Google for Android devices. An application program ("app") called "Market" is preinstalled on most Android devices and allows users to browse and download apps published by third-party developers, hosted on Android Market. Users can also search for and read detailed information about apps from the Android Market website.

The first application I've download from android market is File Manager ASTRO. It hope me to manage the file in my Xperia X10.. I just finished download it to my phone... COol and easy

Just cannot found how to copy contact from SIMCard (for Xperia X10 user). This is the solution

Go to the Phonebook.
Press the Menu key; i.e. the "physical" key on the left, below the display.
Tap More > Import contacts > SIM card.
To import all contacts, press the Menu key again, then tap Import all.

(It might also be that you see an option to import your contacts from the SIM already when you open the phonebook - directly on the screen. However, you still have to press the menu key to get an "import all" option.)

Unluckily most of my contact in the phone. So, many contact has been lost

How do I change the page layout from Portrait to Landscape for an entire document?

In your open document in OpenOffice.org:
Open the Styles and Formatting window [F11] (or choose Format > Styles and Formatting).
Click on the Page Styles icon (fourth icon from left).
If the list of page styles contains the selection Landscape, then select Landscape and proceed to create your document.
If the list of page styles does NOT contain the selection Landscape, then proceed as follows:
Default may already be highlighted; if not, then select Default. Right-click on Default to see the context menu and select New.
In the dialog that appears, give the new page style a descriptive name, e.g. Landscape.
Click on the Page tab and change the page orientation to Landscape by clicking on the corresponding radio button. You may also make other changes to the page style, if needed (such as adjusting the margin sizes).
Click OK. The new style will appear as one of the page style choices.
Choose Landscape from the list of page styles.
The displayed page should now exhibit the new page style.

A great way to supplement your PowerPoint presentation, is by printing handouts for your audience. For example, if you are teaching a class you could give your students printed copies of your slides that they can write on and study later. You may also want to print notes for yourself that you can look at while presenting your show.

To print your slides, go to the menu bar and select [File – Print] or use the shortcut [Control + P]. You’ll get the typical print menu where you can change options like your printer, range, and number of copies. However, there are some additional options that are specific to Powerpoint

What can you print?
There are a couple of different types of handouts that you can print:

Slides: This mode prints each slide on a single piece of paper. This is only useful for printing your slides onto clear transparency sheets for use on an overhead projector.
Handouts: The most useful feature, you’ll probably use this the most. This mode allows you to print perfect replicas of your slides. You can specify the number of slides per sheet, and fit up to 9 slides per page (and save a lot of paper). If you select 3 slides, a lined area will appear next to each slide that students can write notes on. You should also check off the “frame slides” box so that each slide has a black line around it.
Outline: This mode prints out all the text from your presentation in an outline format. This looks nice, but no pictures are included.
Notes Page: This will print out sheets with your personal notes on the bottom.
PowerPoint 2002 now lets you preview your handout before printing, so I recommend using the print-preview button often as you experiments with these print types. If you wish to make many copies, I recommend setting the colors to black and white. This will look best on a laser printer and will photocopy well.

Start Excel and PPT both.

In Excel, copy the data you want to reproduce in PPT.
Switch to PPT, choose Paste Special, checkmark the Link option.
Verify that the Paste As list box shows something like "Microsoft Excel Worksheet object" selected and click OK.

If something else appears in the Paste As and there's no Excel Worksheet Object
option available, you're probably working around a bug in Office 2007. Go back
to Excel, select and copy the worksheet stuff again. After a bounce between

1. Get your data. You've already got it, probably. This blog is for people with data in text files, and in spreadsheets.

2. Turn it into a data source.

3. Create your mail merge document and suck the data in through the data source.

4. Print, specifying how many of the data records you want to print for, and whether to print to a file or printer.

You probably already have it. It's in a .txt file or .csv that's comma or tab separated, perhaps. Or it's just a spreadsheet.

2. Make the Data Source: Text File Instructions

If your data is in text files, follow these steps.

1. Choose File > New > Database.

2. Make the selection shown, with Text as the format.

3. Click Next.

4. Specify the DIRECTORY where the text files are. Each text file in that directory will be a table in your database. Then select the item separating fields, i.e. a tab or comma or something else.

But this is a nice way to do it too.

1. Create a new Writer document or open a document containing text that you want in the mail merge document.

3. Type any content you want and do any formatting. You can do this later too

4. Click on the NAME OF THE FIELD, not the piece of data, that you want in the mail merge.

5. Drag it into the document and release. The field name will appear.
6. Add any other content and fields you want.
Save the document. You're ready to print.

4. Print the Mail Merge Document.

1. Choose File > Print.

2. You'll see this message. Click Yes. DON'T MARK THE CHECKBOX SAYING YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE THE MESSAGE AGAIN.

3. In the print window, specify the range of records, if you don't want them all, and specify to print to a printer, or to files.

4. Click OK.

5. In the print window, specify the printer and click Print.

As we know Adobe Photoshop is the best drawing tool around the net but it cost much. Why don't use another free software? I've reading some sources from Hongkiat.com that they are 11 Free Adobe Photoshop ALternatives. Maybe the tools not as good as Photoshop but still worthy to use. From the list I've choose Paint.Net because I'm still a Windows user so that's the better choice. It is from Microsoft. I still explore the software but it is really easy to use. I've used google trends to read latest news and found this sadly news.. Not the first time it happened ...

A US woman who was kidnapped 18 years ago as a young girl, has been kept in a hidden backyard behind her captor's home and has had two children with him, police say.

California law enforcement officials announced in a press conference on Thursday that Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was kidnapped at the age of 11 in 1991, was forced to bear two children at the hands of her abductor Phillip Garrido -- a registered sex offender on lifetime federal parole. The 'prison' she was kept in was placed against a six-foot fence and concealed by trees and shrubs that made it invisible from the adjoining properties, police said.

"Subsequent interviews provided information that only the victim and the kidnappers could know," said Fred Kohler from the El Dorado Sheriff's Department.

Philip Garrido, 58, was with his wife Nancy, when he kidnapped Dugard while the girl was waiting for a school bus, the police official said.

"Dugard never attempted to contact the police or her own family throughout her nearly two-decade ordeal," CBS News quoted Kohler as saying.

A netscape founder, Marc Andreessen is making a new browser named RockMelt that is being created by a pair of former business partner.The Times reported that language that was included in the privacy policy indicated that it is designed to work somehow with Facebook.n an interview with the Times earlier this summer, Andreessen hinted that he was backing creation of a new browser but didn't provide details, only saying, "There are all kinds of things that you would do differently if you are building a browser from scratch."

David Coursey from PCWOrld think that ROckMelt browser will become facebook OS. He thinks that RockMelt could become a browser that supports new social networking applications within the browser rather than online. It could, for example, include features like StumbleUpon's URL sharing and FriendFeed's aggregation within the browser. Or maybe it will offer an API that allows social networks to access RockMelt-only functionality.

A very shock news.. A Texas judge ruled Tuesday that Microsoft cannot sell one of its flagship products, Word, in the United States because of patent infringement.
Judge Leonard Davis, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, ordered a permanent injunction that "prohibits Microsoft from selling or importing to the United States any Microsoft Word products that have the capability of opening .XML, .DOCX or DOCM files (XML files) containing custom XML," according to an announcement by the plaintiff, Toronto-based i4i Inc.

XML essentially is a programming language that allows users to customize the underlying format of their word-processing documents, for example, and makes them readable across different word-processing programs. The ability to read and write XML documents is an integral feature of Microsoft Word.

I can'ta access with twitter acount.. Firstly, I think maybe my broadband has problem but after searching via net then I find news that twitter really extended downtime: a 30 minute outage that’s one of the longest in recent months.

I'm very frustrated today.. Most of PC on my office have a problem detect pen drive..It make me sick.. I've using Avira to clean it but after entered PC that using Trend Micro it keep on prompt after I put pen drive.
I don't know why Trend Micro just prompt but not delete or clean it...
But I can't do anything, our unit just buy it.. Hope they changed to others Antivirus. .
They must buy Norton for protection.. Trend Micro is not worthy now..

Sorry, today I just post a news that make me cry..

A cute 10-year-old Colby Curtin died of cancer this week, but before she passed away, her final wish was fulfilled. The child had desperately wanted to see the new Pixar movie, "Up." Unfortunately, she was too ill to go to the theater. According to various articles within the Buzz, Pixar was told of Colby's illness. The company sent a representative to deliver a DVD for Colby to watch in her room. Though she could no longer see, her mother narrated the action. Colby died several hours after the movie ended, and searches on "up movie make a wish" and "colby curtin up" both soared.

Even Gizmodo tribute her.

When I read this news I totaly shocked.. How can the phone recharge without wires?? It is using solar?? But this is the story.

Nokia, however, has taken another baby step in that direction with the invention of a cell phone that recharges itself using a unique system: It harvests ambient radio waves from the air, and turns that energy into usable power. Enough, at least, to keep a cell phone from running out of juice.

While "traditional" (if there is such a thing) wireless power systems are specifically designed with a transmitter and receiver in mind, Nokia's system isn't finicky about where it gets its wireless waves. TV, radio, other mobile phone systems -- all of this stuff just bounces around the air and most of it is wasted, absorbed into the environment or scattered into the ether. Nokia picks up all the bits and pieces of these waves and uses the collected electromagnetic energy to create electrical current, then uses that to recharge the phone's battery. A huge range of frequencies can be utilized by the system (there's no other way, really, as the energy in any given wave is infinitesimal). It's the same idea that Tesla was exploring 100 years ago, just on a tiny scale.

Mind you, harvesting ambient electromagnetic energy is never going to offer enough electricity to power your whole house or office, but it just might be enough to keep a cell phone alive and kicking. Currently Nokia is able to harvest all of 5 milliwatts from the air; the goal is to increase that to 20 milliwatts in the short term and 50 milliwatts down the line. That wouldn't be enough to keep the phone alive during an active call, but would be enough to slowly recharge the cell phone battery while it's in standby mode, theoretically offering infinite power -- provided you're not stuck deep underground where radio waves can't penetrate.

Nokia says it hopes to commercialize the technology in three to five years.

It’s unclear exactly how the worm is spreading. But from the look of Tweets about the virus, if you click on the link, you account could be compromised and spammed.

This is the issue,

Issue: If you use FeedBurner's email subscriptions service, your email-specific subscribers may not appear in your subscriber totals for 19-May. This a reporting issue we need to resolve internally and we will do so as soon as possible. Apologies for the sudden drop!

Workaround: None, but you can always view your email subscriber count and full list by visiting Publicize > Email Subscriptions > Subscription Management for any feed in your account.

A Disk Error Occured

Hello all readers..
Hope you are in good condition..
I've a problem while booting my PC.. The message is:-

" A Disk Read Error Occured. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart"

I don't know how to do,, But this is what I've found on the net.

1 - Try a different IDE cable.

2 - Corrupt MBR (master boot record)!! Need to reformat and do Fdisk /mbr to delete the master boot record!! Save all data first as this will not allow you to access any of your data as all file location addresses are located in the MBR!!

3 - A bad sector get a zerofill tool(low level formatting tool)!! This will rewrite you HD's sectors putting them back to factory spec's!! Maxtors is called Maxblast you can get it from thier site!!

4 - or it could be a defective drive, but most read errors are due ot corrupt MBR or a bad sector!!

Yahoo that bought Geocities for 3.57 billion USD when the whole internet fuss was still new. But now they can't survive especially when blogging and other social networking sites is come..
It is really sad coz I was a geocities user before.. But that's a reality, geocities now close..The sites that are hosted on Geocities will remain for now but users should start looking for other possible choices of sites for hosting. As part of the shutting down process, Geocities are no longer open to new members anymore.
